My practice revolves around philosophies of intuitive creativity, this focus has produced a body of work that is honest and truthful to my unfiltered creative self. Over the past year my practice has veered toward a more formal approach to art. I have experimented with chair design, engaging with it through a sculptural and functional lens. I have played with possibilities of form and have established a vocabulary of sculptural shapes that have been represented through the variety of my chair designs.
All these choices have resulted in a strong process driven practice, from foraging for material, drawing and mental mapping, to the fine art of joinery and understanding relationships within wooden forms.
