Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to rethink a new direction in which my art took place. I had to tech myself other mediums in order to bring forth income during economic crisis. This is when I had weaved my way into the fashion, from the customization of shoes to unique zero waste apparel. My work is influenced by wearable art.
The work explores connections to and experiences of memory. Through the work, personal history and memory are tied together and investigated as well as how time informs memory. The work also displays how visual representation and audio can be used to subtly communicate experiences. Memories. The audio which overlaps the video are letters which are written to ourselves, in attempt to fix time in a medium. Trying to create an experience in which memory becomes a narrative construction. The work deals with how our past memories relate to, as well as, model our present.
