Artist Bio
My name is Christopher Lindes, otherwise known as Pretty Boy. I am a photographer, videographer, and performance artist. My pronouns are He/They.
I find myself within a constant battle of identity on the spectrum of gender, sexuality, and race. With this battle afoot, I use photography, video, and performance as a means of documentation as I navigate the space I inhabit, in the body I inhabit, as the name I inhabit. My photography in this catalogue capture the posed and candid moments as a means to navigate this form and the spectrum of what is ‘real’ and ‘unreal’. Working with myself and my peers I aim to understand what it truly means to take up this form and let it exist within this physical landscape, whilst also activating and creating spaces for myself and other people and bodies like me.
